Lab Director, Associate Professor
Jun Liu obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 2016 and his B.E. in Automation and B.S. in Economics from Shandong University in 2008. He received his postdoctoral training at the Dalio Institute of Cardiovascular Imaging at Cornell University.
Mansen Chen, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Researcher
Mansen Chen obtained his Ph.D. from Dalian University of Technology (DUT) in 2021. Before joining the AIR Lab, he received his postdoctoral training in Mechanics at DUT.
Hongchuan Zhang, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Researcher
Hongchuan Zhang obtained his Ph.D. from South China University of Technology (SCUT) in 2020. Before joining the AIR Lab, he received his postdoctoral training in Guangdong Key Laboratory of Precision Equipment and Manufacturing Technology at SCUT.
Wei Dai
Doctoral Student
Wei Dai obtained his B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering from South China University of Technology in 2021. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in Robotics and Automation at City University of Hong Kong.
Meilu Zhu
Doctoral Student
Meilu Zhu received his Bachelor's degree from Shenzhen University and is currently working towards his Ph.D. in medical image analysis with Prof. Yuan Yixuan as co-supervisor.
Tianyi Wu
Doctoral Student
WU Tianyi obtained his B.E. and MASc. in Mechanics from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2020. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with City University of Hong Kong.
Qi Wei Shi
Doctoral Student
Qi Wei Shi received his Bachelor's degree in the department of Mechanical Engineering from City University of Hong Kong. His research interests includes novel materials for soft sensors and actuators.
Xiaozhen Zhang
Doctoral Student
Xiaozhen Zhang obtained his MASc. from Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in 2022. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering with City University of Hong Kong.
Chengxiang Lu
Doctoral Student
Chengxiang Lu received dual Bachelor's degrees in Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering and Intelligent Robotics from Harbin Institute of Technology and his Master's degree in Mechanical National University of Singapore (NUS). His research interests include origami design, biomimetic robotics, and micro/nano robotics.
